The IP address management can be done through the vApp Properties at the hypervisor level or through the VAMI service on port 5480, but not both. You should be getting the static IP address you...

you know, that is a great question... My vmware guys never got back to me saying the change was done (or I missed it)...I'll follow up and post. Though, they have a new release candidate out.

I think they had a mis-configuration in the vApp Properties. They fixed that before I upgraded and I reboot and the DNS Server IPs were in there correctly.

The appliance does a reverse DNS lookup on the assigned IP address during boot. While you can change the hostname through the VAMI interface (port 5480) at runtime, it will reset to a default hostname...
